  2. 2. Expand each route into nearby 4- and 5-letter possibilities.
  3. 3. Enter the words, then use the board review to spot the routes you missed.

Questions about the word list

Are these words valid in WordGrid?

Yes. Every example on this page is checked against the dictionary used by the current game. A word must still be traceable through adjacent tiles on the board.

Why focus on short words first?

Short words are faster to recognize and are plentiful on most boards. They also make a reliable base score before you spend time looking for longer routes.

How are words scored?

WordGrid gives 1 point for 3-letter words, 2 for 4-letter words, 4 for 5-letter words, and 6 for 6-letter words. See the scoring guide for the full rules.
