Local game data

WordGrid stores settings and local game progress, such as theme, sound preference, streaks, and recent game history, in your browser. This data stays on your device unless you clear browser storage.

Optional Complete leaderboard

If you submit a Complete score, your display name, server-calculated points, target count, completion status, and submission time are stored on our Cloudflare database. The name and score are public. Submitted words and reveal choices are validated but are not stored in the leaderboard table. Do not include personal information in your display name.

A first-party HttpOnly cookie identifies your browser for best-score updates and expires after one year. Cloudflare supplies your IP address to enforce request limits; the application stores only a short-lived, minute-specific hash in its rate-limit table, not the raw IP. Expired limit records are removed on subsequent submissions. Scores may remain available as daily leaderboard history. You can play without submitting. Contact us to request removal of a public entry.

Analytics

With your consent, WordGrid uses Google Analytics to understand aggregated usage such as page views, game starts, completed rounds, and feature clicks. We do not ask players to create accounts or submit names to play.
